Privacy Policy

1. Data We Collect

Account data: When you sign in with GitHub, we receive your GitHub username, profile photo URL, and GitHub user ID. We do not access your repositories, code, or private profile data.

Listing data: Information you provide when creating listings (title, description, price, contact info, proof links).

Interest/waitlist data: Email address, name (optional), and preferences you submit through the interest form.

Analytics: We use Umami, a privacy-respecting analytics tool that does not use cookies, does not track individuals, and does not collect personal data. We see aggregate page views, referrers, and device types only.

Payment data: Stripe processes all payments. We do not store credit card numbers. We store Stripe account IDs and transaction references.

2. How We Use Your Data

To operate the marketplace: display listings, facilitate communication between traders, process escrow payments. To send you emails you opted into (new deals, features). To improve the platform based on aggregate analytics.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with: Stripe (payment processing), and as required by law.

4. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Listing data persists after account deletion for marketplace integrity. Interest/waitlist data is retained until you unsubscribe.

5. Your Rights

You can: request a copy of your data; request deletion of your account and associated data; unsubscribe from emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email. Contact hello@liquidhacks.dev for any data requests.

6. Cookies

We use one httpOnly cookie (token) for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party cookies. Umami does not use cookies.

7. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via the platform.
